OWA UK took part in a peaceful protest conducted from 08/10/20 – 15/10/20 during COVID lock-down. We were only allowed to have six women per day due to the government restrictions. Throughout the first seven days, we protested in silence, only engaging with the public on the final day of the protest. Our protest theme was prison inmate, inline with the unjust imprisonment of political leaders in Ethiopian. We were trying to show the suffering of Oromo prisoners back in Ethiopia and our people who can not speak out. Please clock below for the video of our protest on Facebook.
